Outriders provide various possibilities to improve the feel of the game according to your preferences. On the PC, you can set the graphics so that even weaker cards can provide smooth games. Here you can find settings to improve performance and improve game fluency.
What are these settings? In Outriders, you can change many options according to your preferences. Here, you will find adjustments in the following areas:
Frame rate (FPS)
By making subtle adjustments in the correct position, you can benefit significantly from these areas without sacrificing quality. It can even solve some problems.
What do these settings bring? The goal is to both increase FPS and make the game smoother overall. It’s about better cutscenes, more enjoyable gameplay, and better graphical representations without sacrificing performance.
You can make many settings in Outriders. We showed you five of these games that make you play better on your PC.
Optimal graphics settings to achieve more FPS
in the options menu, you will find the Display and Display (Extended) items. Make the following settings here:
Window mode: fullscreen
Activate FPS limit: Off or 239
Restrict the mouse to the window: Close
Field of View (FOV): 80
Motion blur: off
Quality preset: user-defined
Effect quality: medium
Texture quality: high
Shadow quality: medium
Late quality: medium
Leaf quality: low
You don’t have these options if you have hardly any essential optical details. For example, visibility and shadows rarely really attract attention in peripheral areas, while the texture is more important. Therefore, even with GTX 2080 and an equivalent or older graphics card, you should quickly get speeds over 100 FPS.
If you are using a more rugged memory card, such as the new 3080, you can back up the details. Start with effects and textures, then work through the options step by step.
What else can I change? If you cannot hear the gunfire, you can disable VSync. Some users encounter the problem that there is no sound from the enemy’s gunshots, so disabling VSync can solve the problem. This is also true in our tests.
If you are sitting in an exceptionally bright or dark room, you should adjust the brightness. But attitude is subjective, and you must find your best value.
DirectX 11 and 12 prevent stuttering.
DirectX is a graphical interface that every PC game player may use, even if he does not directly know it. Not long ago, the latest version of DirectX 12 was put on the market.
However, this always causes problems because DirectX12 is unstable for some users. There are often stuttering and stuttering in the game, just like a micro lag, but permanent.
Outriders will ask you if you want to use DirectX 11 or 12 when launching on Steam. If you find stuttering, change the version-no matter which direction it is heading. Can help.
The problem should have been resolved or resolved anyway. Outriders are getting its first major patch, and DirectX Stuttering is one of the construction sites.
Better and better filmmaking
This is the way to make cinematography better: to get better cutscenes, and two settings must be adjusted:
Video sequence camera stability: 1.00 (under Gameplay)
Maximum FPS of video sequence: 120 (under Display)
When it is stable, you can start at 0.25, and then you can gradually increase it if you lose immersion because the camera is too quiet. At 1:00 in the morning, the swing in the edited scene almost completely disappeared.
This is why it is useful: outsiders often use movies to interrupt the game, in which characters talk to each other or show scenery. Since demos and scenes are limited to 30 FPS by default, there have been complaints about the camera’s work.
The picture kept shaking, as if someone was shooting everything with trembling hands and a handheld camera, just like in an amateur movie. The effect is excellent, suitable for cruel post-apocalyptic, but some players may cause motion sickness or seasickness.
Nvidia DLSS-performance or quality?
If you have an Nvidia graphics card, you can activate DLSS (Deep Learning Super Sampling) in the display options. This means that your graphics card will constantly adapt as you play, so your settings can best meet your needs. You have five options here:
Focus on performance, you can get more FPS from the game, and the quality looks better. Using the graphics options listed above, it is recommended to set Balance or Performance.
DLSS helps to get a better and smoother gaming experience. However, when focusing on performance, it may happen that details such as hair suddenly look a bit tangled. It is best to try your favorite setting.
Automatic robbery limit frequent to better robbery
In the game options, you will find the minimum rarity (automatic collection) setting. By default, this setting is set to Epic. We recommend changing this limit to Frequent.
After all, Outriders is a loot shooting game, and you can make money without the loot directly obtained or take it down. You can already extract mighty mods from rare (blue) objects, and Outriders’ crafting system is particularly successful.
If you carry too much, you can even dismantle your prey during the journey. Using the H key, you can collect all loot in areas above the minimum rarity. You can reassign this key under Control in the menu.
If you want to get better loot, you must improve the world level. There is also an option in the game menu: automatically set the highest world level. Set this setting to On, and you will always play on the largest possible world animal.
